RESTAURANT REVIEW By Silvia

Founded in 1984, the bar and restaurant Roxy Bar is a great choice for a delicious dinner or drinks with friends. Located at the corner of Almirante Wandenkolk with Senador Lemos, opening hours are 7pm/2am, except Mondays, when it is closed.
The Roxy Bar is a chic, its facade was inspired by the Roxy Cinema, in Rio de Janeiro, besides having a nice half-light and a soundtrack featuring the hits of current and former pop music.
The menu consists of delicious dishes and drinks named after the famous artists. Highlighting the main dish, a delicious steak Saddam Hussein, followed by dessert Juliana Paes, made of vanilla ice cream with pieces of strawberry and chocolate syrup. Other dishes that deserve attention and are ordered with frenquencia are also steak George Bush and the fish Suzana Vieira.
As the dishes usually serve two people, the average price per person varies between R$ 20 and R$ 50.
The service is efficient, however due to great demand it is often necessary to wait some time to get care, because you can not make a reservation.

“Quintela Restaurant” is located in Mosqueiro Island, on Paradise Road, 2077
It is a great place to take your family and enjoy a good time. There is a great “green area”, with lots of beautiful trees with different fruits that they use to prepare the juices.
There is an area for hammocks, a playground for the children, it is easy to park and it has a very calm environment.
Their meals are based on regional food and Portuguese food.  Among the regional recipes we have the famous  “pato no tucupi” and the traditional “caldeirada de peixe”, and my favorite one, “Pirarucu à Quintela”.
The pieces of the “pirarucu” are fried and they come with fried bananas, fruits in syrup, “campanha” sauce and  “farofa” wet in coconut milk.
From the Portuguese culinary we have a lot of recipes with codfish, my favorite one is the “Bacalhau à Zé do Pipo”. This recipe is made with codfish pieces, cream and au gratin mashed potatoes.
The portions are very generous, the orders are for three or four people, and the prices are very reasonable, considering the quantity and the expensive fishes they use.
People that like good food, a calm environment and the nature around it, will be very satisfied with “Quintela’s Restaurant”.

Last Friday I went to Roxy Bar to celebrate my 5th anniversary. It's a good restaurant, they have excellent food, a very good service and a very nice atmosphere. Additionally, the menu is very funny because the dishes are named after artists, like Marlon Brando and Marilyn Moore and you can build up your dish as you want, without restrictions and take any brand of beer, unlike many bars in Belém. The desserts are delicious too.
We ate Charlie Heltson: cut up pieces of steak topped with cheese and french fries, with rice Biro Biro and a delicious sauce. For dessert we ate Juliana Paes (ice cream with chocolate sauce and strawberry...DELICIOUS!!!).
The only problem is that the Roxy for being an excellent restaurant is always very crowded, sometimes you have to wait hours to get a table and as its surroundings are very busy it is difficult to park, but the food is worth it and the atmosphere is quite nice, so I recommend.

                                            BARBECUE RESTAURANT

I Choose this restaurant, because it was the last one we went to, my family and I in the Easter holiday and I liked it. The owners of the restaurant are “gauchos” .
The restaurant is in BR Marituba next to a gas station and its parking is in front of it with access to the restaurant .
Besides serving the best barbecue  it also has the self service. Some dishes are served as lasagna , rice from greek , feijoada, salads, it has both regional dishes as “gaucho”, but it has a special and  I loved to eat, it´s  Paella.
Paella is a dish with several types of  meats and red peppers, yellow, sausage, green onions, ham and rice also shrimp. It´s very good.
Many people frequent this restaurant all types of class, maybe because the price of R$23,00 per person is accessible, and  the barbecue  costs R$28,00.
You are well attended, the atmosphere is pleasant, the décor is simple and beautiful.
I recommend it, you need to try their Paella and their different “gaucho”dishes, because this restaurant is specialized in roasted meat.

RESTAURANT REVIEW By Tainara

I went to Studio Pub, this place is very uncommon in Belem city, because there's little people in love with true rock 'n roll, this place is the perfect location  to listen to rock appropriately , and drink a cool beer. Outside it has a cool black painting in it´s the is smokers' area, inside its design is very simple it also has a black painting which, with the low lights, gives the environment a comfortable feature, in the back there’s a stage where the rock cover band and DJ play good music!

The music played at this place is usually between blues and hard rock, another aspect that gives the place an enjoyable attribute. It´s normally, cover band of famous rock bands, as U2, Pink Floyd, Cold Play…
The restaurant has good options for a delicious dinner, for people who like Studio Pub there is fast meal, but still the sandwiches taste as if it was made at home and, of course, if your ears are up to listen to some good music. The Hamburger with French fries accompanied by barbecue sauce is very nice!  And that comes in a well-served two-person plate, is not expensive only R$ 15,00.  Its restaurant also serves sushi, and honestly, its temaki is delicious, and it is not too expensive only  R$ 12,00.  And people who likes beer, they serve it iced, if you prefer a good beer they have Heineken!
It´s not necessary to say that this place is my favorite when I want to go out on a Friday night. I recommend it to anyone, this place is very good and you need go.

RESTAURANT REVIEW By Geraldina

"Cofee Bar Acordalice" is located in Umarizal and it's frequented by people between the ages of 18 and over. It's a very different bar.
It's a colonial style home, where you make a musical trip to the 80's.
There are posters of singers, musicians and rock groups from the past for example RPM, Renato Russo, Titãs, Marina among others, and also a space for international music and some old objects.
The band is very lively, but the sound is loud difficult to talk, but is perfect to play the track.
The atmosphere is very relaxed and the waiters are very friendly.
In "Acordalice" it is not served lunch or dinner, but snacks and
sandwiches, which are really tasty and the prices are reasonable and potions are very generous.
In fact, I really liked the steak of pastries and some fried dumplings.
One interesting thing, about this place is the names of the drinks – they are names of the 80's music for example "Exagerado", "Você não Soube me Amar", "Tudo Azul".
I really liked bar and I advise you give it a try.
Only one thing that it is not very good - there's no parking - the cars have to stay on street, but nothing can not be resolved. Then the solution is to go by
taxi.

HIGASHI  is one of the many  Japanese restaurants in Belem. It’s easy to locate ( it’s on Timbó on the corner of  25 de setembro) and there is free parking.  As most good restaurant are – HIGASHI is always busy.
The menu is varied with meat, fish, vegetable and drinks. You can have meals “la carte” or self-service.
The place is clean and it has Japanese décor. There are two ambient, of course I prefer the one with air-conditioned. The atmosphere is laid back, with comfortable chairs and table.
The customers are educated, don’t smoking and don’t speak aloud.
The employees are educated and always well dressed.
The kitchen is clean and many Brazilians work there.
It’s an ideal place to hang out with friends. The food is very nice, the prices are very reasonable. A dinner for two costs about R$ 40,00. The tip is optional.
If you like meat, I recommend steak grilled.  This dish is served with rice and chips.
You’re supposed to try.

Amazon Beer Restaurant is located in Docas’ Station, Belém. They have a nice atmosphere with two ambient, the first has background music, mostly MPB, air conditioner, wooden table and comfortable chairs, the second ambient is different because you don’t need air conditioner, the ambient is refreshed with river breeze.  The waiters are very polite and follow the rules of etiquette.
They have amazing food, for people going to drink the master appetizers is perfect, has several types of cheese, fruit, bread, ham, salami and other. For lunch or dinner, the medallion of fillet with ham, is out of this world, with rice and mushroom, the mushroom is different from any other I have ever tasted.
The most differential is the beer, you can not drink this beer in another place in the world, and the bacuri’s beer is amazing, I believe this beer is their biggest seduction.
The only problem is that they are a little expensive, but I always come back and I recommend it.

Currently,  “Abelhuda” has three locations in Belem, neither one of these three is closest to my home. There is another on “Gentil Bittencourt” avenue, and this is the main one.  All the time, that kind of sweet-shop has many people and “décor” inspired by a doll house. I think all girls love it. The menu is simple, but is varied. The atmosphere is inviting and the curtains and tablecloths are tidy and white wooden fences attached to the walls set the scene. From the kitchen comes a good smell, and has some pies to delivery and coffee machine. The slice of the “casadinho” pie (kind of pie with “casadinho” sweeties) and the chocolate mousse and covered marshmallows (R$ 8.70) is the most sought after by customers. So, I tried one of them with a frozen big cup (cold coffee with chocolate), after I tried a delicious grape sugar. No need to wait so long for the request, the service is good, the waitresses are attentive and they are constantly asking if we need anything. “Nega maluca” is delicious, with whipped cream made of chocolate (also R$ 8.70). The window of sweets, draws much attention to “brigadeiro de Ovomaltine” covered by a layer of milk chocolate (R$ 2.70) and the bundle prepared with dough and cheese filling of guava paste (R$ 2.20) together Rissole prawn (R$ 4.10) and cod “empada” with mozzarella (R$ 5.00) are in the list of snacks. In fact, you will most likely get two meals for the price of one with all of the food that you get.  And, all the prices are very reasonable.  This very large dinner for two cost about 25 or 30. And you don’t need pay tip or additional tax. I know that I will return to “Abelhuda” many times in the future, and I can suggest that you readers give it a try all delicious things there are in this place.
