RESTAURANT REVIEW By Jairo Roberto

HIGASHI  is one of the many  Japanese restaurants in Belem. It’s easy to locate ( it’s on Timbó on the corner of  25 de setembro) and there is free parking.  As most good restaurant are – HIGASHI is always busy.
The menu is varied with meat, fish, vegetable and drinks. You can have meals “la carte” or self-service.
The place is clean and it has Japanese décor. There are two ambient, of course I prefer the one with air-conditioned. The atmosphere is laid back, with comfortable chairs and table.
The customers are educated, don’t smoking and don’t speak aloud.
The employees are educated and always well dressed.
The kitchen is clean and many Brazilians work there.
It’s an ideal place to hang out with friends. The food is very nice, the prices are very reasonable. A dinner for two costs about R$ 40,00. The tip is optional.
If you like meat, I recommend steak grilled.  This dish is served with rice and chips.
You’re supposed to try.
